Waterfront Development along the creek line

Thane city is having a creek of length around 32 km. The waterfront project is considered as a makeover project for undeveloped creek area with the various elements such as watersports, Tourism centre, Convection centre, Jogging track, Promenade, Creek preservation, promotion and cleanliness. The project has been received the various approvals from all the concern authorities.  

Waterfront Development Project objective:

• • Because of creek line development project, mangroves along the creek will be preserved and protected, Environment protection along the creek and protection from the encroachment in the future is possible.

 

• • Besides this, creek biodiversity protection will be possible and the development of entertainment zone will encourage water tourism in citizens leaving in the Thane Municipal Corporation area.

 

• This will directly benefit towards the improvement in the standard of living and healthy life of the resident of Thane. In the future, it will lead to the development of Thane as a tourism spot subsequently lead to the creation of local jobs and the economy.

Waterfront development project has various facilitates available for citizens such as urban landscape, Jogging track, walkway, seating arrangements, amphitheatre, children play area, open gym, entrainment facility and align works, Ganesh visarjan ghat, Gabion wall, compound wall, restroom facility, parking area, CCTV, electrical works etc.
